Is it possible to actually get big on youtube as a kid, I mean I am currently 15 and every youtuber with even 100k subs if they commentate they are usually age 22 or older.. It just seems like no younger youtubers actually get fame, They get about 1k subs and thats about it...
 
Of course you can be big!

Think about it... If the YouTubers you're talking about are 22, how long have they been on YouTube? Even if you say 5 years, that means they were 17 when starting. Everyone's gotta start somewhere!

I'm old and I only have just over 250 subs, but good things have been coming from my channel lately not strictly on Youtube. Subs are good, but they're not everything as far as marking "success". If 1k subs is a mark of failure, then I must really suck at life then because my channel is over 5 years old and I barely passed 250 (I didn't really start uploading a lot until 2012 though)... But as I said, subs are not everything
 
Age has nothing to do with this, but as a given most younger YouTuber's don't have the time, money or maturity to run what is potentially a business. Sure, some are lucky and make it, while most don't.

Kids have WAY more time than I do! I work full time and go to school full time, plus I have a house and dogs to take care of. But I can see where money and maturity can be a problem. Working full time allows me to buy stuff like cameras and software whenever I feel like it. As far as my maturity, you can be the judge of that, lol
 
It doesn't matter what age you have you can be big or you can be small I have 21 now I started youtube on 2009 and had a video with over 100,000 views and i deleted it later in 2013, meaning I had 17-18 when I made that video and I barely had 100 subs or less. So it doesn't matter your age.
 
I think with different age you might attrack different ppl to watch your videos. While a 30 yr old guy will probably be interesting for other people in their thirties, you will be much more interesting for viewers around your age compared to the 30 year old guy : ) Do make videos as long as you're enjoying doing that!:smug:

Hey I'm 42 and I think I might be "too old" but I'm not giving up!!! :)
