First, let me just say don't give up doing what you love. If you love making videos, then continue to follow your passion on YouTube regardless of what people say or think. At the end of the day, you are the one who is in total control of what you do with your channel. Your mother supports you, you have more support here on YTtalk, and your subscribers too. It's better than no support at all. Keep going and have fun. After your hard work, the money will come soon.
With my story, I did not have much support either when I first started my YouTube channel. My mother and family on her side, thought YouTube was a waste of time making beauty tutorials, haul videos, and talking into a camera in public. My dad and family on his side love what I do. They enjoy my videos. As well as my godfather, and my little cousins. My godfather even bought me my first vlogging camera, because I used to do all of my vlogs through webcam.
Now, that my mom and family on her side see how well I am doing, they support my channel. They see that brands are interested in my channel and my blog, beauty brands contact me to review their products, and I am gaining support from the beauty community here on YouTube. They see that I am happy and passionate about what I do, thus they want to support me.
Things can change in an instant once people start seeing how happy you are
