So when I upload videos with good enough tags I often get those 10-15K subbed channels asking if you want to join a shoutout Sunday, or say your content is great then ask you to check their channel out. I hate the self promotion on the comments section especially when they have that much
 
I agree with you, I see people who do that on smaller channels and they are like leeches, the comment section of someone else's video isn't the place to advertise, it's rude.

I get these too! I'm smaller than they are and they ask me for a shout out? What the heck!
 
I actually don't mind it. As long as their not going over the top with it, I'll go check out their channel. Sometimes that's the only way I now their channel exists.

I usually mark those comments as spam. There are plenty of promotion websites out there. There's no need in filling the comment sections with pointless promotions. You don't even gain any subs from it, because it annoys people.
