I did something right on Reddit

I Love YTtalk
I posted two of my videos on Reddit. One of them got 23 Upvotes and the other one 11. This brought me a 50 view spike that day. This may not seem much but for me it's a daily view increase by 25%.

Yep. I am always very careful when doing that on reddit. Every subreddit has its own rules when it comes to self-promotion and there even is a global rule that max. 10% may be your own content. If someone (or a bot) reports you, you may get shadowbanned at some point. It does not happen automatically, but be careful.

I would also suggest not to just "dump" videos there but rather make a text post, start a discussion and link the video in the text. I'm still myself building well working reddit strategy, but that's what I think :-)

I put up a video on Reddit. Got 800 views in the first day. I thought I struck gold. Then posted 2 more after that and the results were not near as good. I will spend some time getting to know the community and all that before I post another. Good site but they can turn angry fast!

Go you! I still can't work out Reddit and I don't really wanna brave it being a vlogger but super happy that someone is reaping the benefits! :D

That's awesome! Personally i've had mixed results on Reddit but do think it's important WHERE you post your videos. If you pick the wrong sub-reddit then Redditors seem to have no issue in kicking you!

It seems so. "Thrilled" by my success I picked up a video that I posted on reddit a month ago that didn't get any upvotes. Now in e different subreddit it has gotten eight upvotes in six hours.[DOUBLEPOST=1413307225,1413289778][/DOUBLEPOST]I can't resist to show a screenshot:
