how to replace audio tracks without deleting narration??

this is getting extremely frustrating,

youtube has really botched this up without the standard audio replace feature
this new system is entirely flawed

i have a video which i want to monetize but currently has copyrighted music,
so i edit the audio, and click "remove music"
50% of the time it removes ALL audio the entire video ,even if its only 10 seconds of intro music

so finally when it works and takes only the song out, i have my narration....good.
i then try to put a youtube "ad-free for monetization" song in its place from the list

once again it deletes all of my narration even if i move the slider all the way to "favor original track" or "equal"
i then edit where in the song ends within the video..

it still deletes ALL audio after that point,WTF:furious:

i could solve this by using the /editor feature, but youtube only creates new videos as opposed to replacing the original with all of the pre-established good standings.

i do not want to upload a new video, that feature is useless

i just want to audio replace an existing video

Hi there, you already made this thread yesterday. I will close the other one, but please don't make duplicate threads, thanks.

I have had this exact problem. It drives me crazy too. There is no solution beyond re-uploading, which I don't want to do.
