How to Monetize?

Hey everyone,

I know how to enable Monetization, but can someone take me through it? I'm a gaming channel and I know some developers allow you to monetize, but how would I do it? I am under 18, so does a parent have to do it for you or...

I know there are guides out there and I have asked others but there has been no response, anyone mind helping me out?
 
Since you are a gamer and you play games other than Minecraft as well, you should seek monetisation through partnerships such as RPM or Fullscreen, etc.

It is true that some game developers ALLOW you to monetise (such as Notch from Minecraft), however they do not help you enable it. What you need to do is apply for partnership with a partnering company, they will provide you with a contract which your parent will have to sign.

I am with Machinima and i am under 18. I'd personally reccomend Machinima as they are very well known and help advertise your channel and they only take 40% of what you earn. All you require is at least 9000 Monthly video views, or if you don't have that (Like myself) they will let you in if they see potential. :)

I have been offered a partnership at TGN but didn't take it. What if I instead just monetized my Lego videos instead? Really don't want to go into a partnership as some people have told me about the perils of doing it. Not sure. :(
 
All your parent has to do is sign the Tax form saying they are willing for you to be paid.
 
Have your one of your parents sign up for an AdSense account of their own and link it to your channel. Don't join a network just because of this.

That's what I thought. So perhaps I just monetize on my own first and eventually I partner? Or should I just partner with Machinima?
