I have Sony Vegas Pro 9 and when I render 10 minute videos it takes about 2 or 3 hours. Anyway I can speed that up?
How to increase video rendering.

If you will render at best resolution ,other stuff it gonna take longer and it depends on your pc specs.

I should provide more detail I suppose. The higher quality obviously affects render time. a 720p video will render much faster than a 1080p video of the same length. The complexity of the file (number of faders, titles, overlayed videos) seem to affect render time minimally but still to some extent.
For the faster system, video card, CPU and RAM are the primary factors in render time. It's not a great measure, but the windows performance index (performance in control panel) is a passable way of finding out if you have any major bottlenecks.

3 Ways, or 4 if you have a later version of Vegas.
1) Shorten videos
2) Compress the quality more.
3) Upgrade computers.

Use CUDA or OpenGL when rendering, this DRAMATICALLY increases the speed of rendering. For me, a 720p video went from 30 mins to around 8 mins rendering time. Also, does not sacrifice quality.

Rendering is manly CPU intensive. RAM and GPU are needed for the actual editing phases. The faster your CPU, the faster your rendering.

Actually, certain graphics cards can be utilised during the rendering phase. So if you wanted to and your graphics card supported it, you can use the power of your graphics card. That is what I do, it speeds rendering up a lot.

It depends on whether your editing software can utilise the GPU. It needs to be supported by the editor in order to use your GPU for rendering.
