How to improve audience participation?

Okay, so I was just wondering how to get people to comment on my videos and share their input. So far a few only have done it and sometimes never. How do you get people to participate on the comment box? Am I doing something wrong and this is happening?

Firstly, never think you are doing anything wrong. Unless it's drugs, then you are doing everything wrong.
Secondly, I feel your pain. I want people to share their input with me as well. So I keep saying at the end of my videos to share their input. Think of it as a pressuring tactic, the more we ask the more we are pressuring users to share their input. It's like spoon feeding a watermelon into a babies mouth.

Just keep asking for inputs and comments when neccessary, it will come through in the meantime.

Make sure you CTA (Call to action). Think about it. If your friend is amazing at a video game and you need help, he won't help you unless you tell him to. Just make sure you say "Like, fav, and share" at the beginning, middle, or end of the video. Personally I recommend the middle. You can also use annotations instead of actually telling people what to do.

Well fortunately I get comments on all of my videos but I saw some people say that you have to interact with your viewers, ask questions or put annotations about something you mention in your video. That could work I guess. ;)

I will :) It truly is a pain when you don't get others to share their thoughts since to me it's one of the most important things as a "creator"

I think I'll try using annotations, I never got around a good way to use it.

Yeah, I feel you completely. Just keep posting and never give up. Even if you're not getting lots of views, keep going. The reason I say this is because when you have more vids, your channel is noticed easier. Don't listen to any haters, your channel is amazing!

Thank for the encouragement! I'll totally carry this on :) Your channel is awesome too! It seems you've been running it for a long time, you've got 1k+ subs :P

Hey I have the same problem too. It just like my viewers are dead!! Is it because they don't want to comment something they want or because I didn't ask them??
