How to end the video properly?

For most people at the beginning of the end card is where most viewers leave. But for some people that don't have an end card, they say "thank you for watching, subscribe, my links are down below" etc. which signals to the viewer that it's the end of the video. How could you kind of hide that you are going to talk about your links, liking the video, subscribing until you actually do? What would you say after the content is done but not explicitly let the viewer know that it's the end? I have an end card, but my friend was wondering.

That's a tricky one because everyone is different. Some may happily watch through all of it and not mind yet others may just skip the entire thing once the "entertainment" is finished. For our videos we just have a 2 second pop up at the end and an audio slogan from one of our videos and it ends on that.

Have a certain spot towards the end of the video where you might still be talking, and some annotations pop up (don't overdo it). Then you can casually say something like "If you guys enjoy my videos, show some love by clicking the annotation above" and whatever you want to say, and have the annotation lead to whatever you like.

In my game videos I don't record in bulks or at the end of the long period of recording I always tell them to like and favourite before the end card. On my Perler Beads I say everything in the end card

We don't do this currently at our channel, but take a hint from CollegeHumor.

Plain and simple, subscribe, or watch more videos, and then the person still on screen has some kind of short skit line that keeps the entertainment to the very last second of the video.
