So, I was blessed to get my first "hater" comment on our videos early this week. The way I chose to respond had a lot of people reaching out to me via email or through the channel in regards to how well it went. The comment is as noted below:
"Your videos are trash. You have a brown teacher who cant pronounce a brown dudes name. Guys are trying too hard to be funny and its wack. step your game up"
I replied with this:
"Thanks for taking the time to watch the video. The whole journey behind a new channel is the ability to discover what works and what doesn't. We appreciate your feedback and definitely see how we can come back with better material in the future. Thanks again!"
The reason I say I was blessed is until now, I haven't received a full forced negative comment on any of my videos. The fact that I replied with such professionalism had a lot of people pleasantly surprised (and perhaps had him think twice about who he's talking to)! So maybe next time you have a rough comment, as the saying goes, kill them with kindness!
