How to display words as I talk?

Eh. I hate adding subtitles to videos because it takes soooo much time. But if you're really willing to put in the work and effort, it's simple. I have the same editor as you. You're going to have to manually choose were the subtitles start and end so I would take advantage of the "m" key to mark where you want your subs to begin. And then you just right-click and go to "Insert Text Media". Make sure your text is in its own video track. From there, just customize the text as you want and repeat. I've tried to copy and paste the text so I could reduce time but this doesn't work as all your "copies" will just be linked to each other and all change when you change one. So you'll have to stick with manually doing it. However, you can save your text customization and add it to other texts.

If you were using fcpx I'd be able to help, but Ive never used sony platinum 13. Sorry!

Not it's own track but if you want them to appear in time with the audio they all need to be input separately.
