How to ask your parents for a gaming pc???

I meant computer, haha, sorry, I own a laptop, and my mom has laptop, so when I typed that I just automatically typed laptop.. I'm so used to them, haha.
Ah, gotcha. Well I have a laptop too, but for gaming I have a desktop PC. They are just more upgrade-able than a laptop.

Yeah, that's true. Personally for gaming though I use a console (PS3), because I just think it's way easier and I don't understand enough about computers to game on expensive computers

Say you need it for school as well, and build your own. For under $500 you can get a pretty decent rig.

First of all, you're 14. When I was 14, I didn't have a "life." I went to school, I went home, I did my homework, read books, watched tv, went to bed. That was my "life." Secondly - what's wrong with being thought of as a geek/nerd? Geeks and nerds are smart and generally one day go to college and get good jobs (I did). I would think your parents would be thrilled if they thought you were a "nerd." Thirdly, it's been proven that playing interactive computer games is much better for brain function and development over passively watching tv shows. Mention that to your parents if they ask why you want a "gaming" computer.
