How much do you script your videos?

Whenever I make a video I typically just make an outline of what I want to talk about and go from there.
 
I don't necessarily read off scripts, I use a script as a loose guideline, just to keep me on track. But when I do write a script, I try to write things how they would naturally come out, this helps me in remembering what I want to say, because if I write it how I'll say it... the more natural it will sound coming from my mouth.

I don't necessarily write down all my thoughts in a script. Sometimes I just write down key points I want to touch on. What helps me though is just reading my script to get a sense of what I'm suppose to be doing or practicing what's being said. Prior to recording, I would suggest doing a few test runs with yourself in the mirror/or recording yourself reading your script to get a feel for what your trying to convey and just take it one paragraph at a time. It'll help you relax, but it will also help you in retaining most of the information you want to go over. So when it comes down to finally recording yourself, your not fumbling over words and things you forgot.

IT also may help you to print/write your script in a larger font size so you can easily look down find your point and move on. You can also bold/capitalize certain phrases or words that you want to make sure you don't forget. And just remember not everything you write down needs to be said. Hope this helps... ;)
 
I used to write down whatever certain topic I wanted to discuss into a notebook. I would literally read off of that during my old videos. Watching them back now, I realized it was horrible. So now, I am just thinking up what I want to talk about, and that's it. The rest is whatever happens during the video. However, if I am doing something like a game review, I'll use a criteria one of my friends made.
 
Some videos i script completely, others i have a spontaneous idea while on camera and it sounds best! I sometimes just do an outline with a few points and nothing really about the matter, hope this helps.
 
I rarely script. I prefer a natural, free-flowing presentation with minimal cuts.
Do I have talking points ready ahead of time? Yes, but not scripted.
 
I don't need to script (music videos). But I always try to, 'get a picture' of the song and what I want to tell the listeners, in my head before I start to record it.
 
I don't use subtitles for my videos. I now write scripts on paper, and use the scripts to make gaming commentaries. I will soon become better at making commentaries.:)
