I am new to youtube as well and I haven't really thought about making money off of it but this information was really helpful!
That's a good estimate to work with - but keep in mind that that's monetized views. So, let's say half of your views are monetized, to keep the math simple
So, £100 is $156 (thanks, Google).
156 = mv (monetized views) * 0.002
156 = [v (total views) * 0.5] * 0.002
156 / 0.002 = 0.5 * v
78000 = 0.5 * v
78000 / 0.5 = v
v = 156000 views
So, to make £100 per video, you need approximately 156000 views per video.

Wait, what? Most networks I've checked out pay 7-8$/ 1000 views... What am I missing?It all depends on what kind of commercials you get on your videos. Some are worth more than others. But I read somewhere it's like 1-2$/ 1000 veiws.

She was probably reffering to adsense... she never mentioned a particular network.
