How Many Tags Do You Guys Use???

I pretty much fill it up with anything that comes to my mind and also use a lot of tools to help out with it. TubeBuddy is nice for that too. Still not sure of the performance though since I just began uploading, none of them are acknowledged/ranked by Youtube yet I think.
 
I say long tail tags are best and less is more.
That being said, my biggest video ever was back when I knew nothing of SEO, and just filled the tag box with everything slightly relevant. So that's counterintuitive. On the flip side, I just posted a SEO focused project using my advice above that has flopped.
YouTube is a strange beast to tame.
Side note, a good way to research tags is to just start typing into the YouTube search box and looking through suggested searches. Presumably, these are things that real people are looking for.
