How long does it take for you to make a video?

For a normal beat its like that:

1-5 hours of making the beat
then making the Video picuture and thumbnail takes about 5 minutes
uploading everything and making the blog post takes about an hour

so it 2-6 hours depending mosty on the music production time

I had another video which took like 2 hours to get the concept, then 1 hour of finding the right sounds, and putting together again an hour. With uploading of 30 minutes i cam to 4 1/2 hours. but that was a special case because the video was an experiment :D
 
Set-up: 5 minutes, max. At the moment, it's just me, my camera, a tripod and some natural light. Then I spend a couple of minutes recording tester segments to make sure the lighting, settings and focus are all in order.

Average recording duration: Usually about 30 - 45 minutes. There are certain lines I may have to repeat because I stumbled or a car drove past and buggered up my audio. I live in a ground floor flat on a busy road, so it can be tricky!

Editing (including audio and thumbnail): I can usually finish the editing on the same day I recorded the video, although if I'm not in as much of a hurry, I can relax and do it over a couple of days. My photography videos take longer than my language ones, so I tend to edit them between other videos so it doesn't impact on my routine. Thumbnails I can make in 5 minutes, usually while my video is uploading.

Upload (Literal time it takes to upload to youtube based on internet speed): F*ckin' forever. I schedule my videos, so I just leave it uploading in the background while I do other stuff. It's a pain when it's raining, as the Internet speed goes from bad to just plain shocking. My video took 6 hours to process this week, so I didn't get to bed until after 7am.

Upload 2(Tags, description, title, and advertising): Just a few minutes, really. I usually have titles figured out, and I've never really had too much trouble with thinking of tags and descriptions. Advertising doesn't take long, either.

Total: Less than 24 hours in total, easily. Like, maybe 12?
 
About a week to come up with an idea...I'm not kidding, sometimes I have several videos in the works at once! 10 minutes to set up, 10 minutes to 5 hours to film depending on what kind of video I'm making, 6 hours of editing....I use lots of green screen sometimes and I can never do a video where I just talk, I like having lots of things going on. Ten minutes to render, ten minutes to upload my 4 minute video and about an hour of promotion. That's about it!

My Time
I usually take this long.
Set-up: 5-10 minutes depending on game.
Average recording duration: 30-50 minutes, sometimes varies.
Editing: The length of the video + up to 1 and 1/2 hours, (double the length of video for rendering)
Upload: 30-50 minutes
Upload 2: 10 minutes description/tags, 10-15 minutes advertising/sharing
Total: at least 3 and 1/2 hours, up to 6 for normal video

Geez before next Gen 8 hours no lie it took forever to edit. Now about 15 mins to capture footage, 7 minutes to edit footage, 30 min upload time. Unless I do a montage of my live streams so easy on those lol

Yes Next Gen was amazing for me, it really did make me be more availbe for the viewers. I am gonna go sub your channel and watch return the love :cool::help:
