How long does it take for the thumbnail to change?

I uploaded a new video last night. Then this morning I changed the thumbnail and it was instant, first time that has happened. Normally it takes 20 minutes or so to change a thumbnail for me.
 
youtube's been buggy lately.

it also started counting views when i view my videos through the editing tool.
