How long do ur videos last?

Well, in the last 28 days, my 26 second long video gets 82% which is 21 seconds retention. lol even with a short video. I don't think its possible. But if you look at 1 particular day, it's possible to find 1 or 2 of your videos with 100% retention, rarely but not impossible. XD
I do have one music video trailer that has 120% retention but that would be impossible to do consistently for an entire channel

That's what you want really for music videos. XP someone rewinding and repeating music over and over. I think, the only other types of videos that gets people rewinding are mostly videos relating to sound, e.g relaxing sounds, oddly satisfying sounds etc.

But yes, highly impossible to do for the entire channel. Not to mention video length varies so overall % is kinda meh. I mean look at my percentage and average viewed for the last 28 days shown in weeks: the minutes are dropping while percentage is going up? hmm... -_-;

I think individual performance of videos is more worth noting than how it is for the whole channel. Especially for those with videos of varying lengths in their channel.

My reviews are normally under 10 minutes.
My travel/Disneyland vlogs are normally over 30 minutes. Some even over an hour and people always ask me to make them even longer haha!
Other random videos (challenges, vlogs etc) tend to be between 8 - 12 minutes.

All depends on what it is and how long it needs to be. Certain games need longer time cause one can only do so much to further the story in 5 minutes or so, you need more. The VGM show ranges between 10-20 minutes depending on the games being discussed. Some of them have much more of a history and stuff worth mentioning compared to others, I usually try to cram as much facts as I can.

Depends, I have different types of videos that vary in length. So far, Let's Plays go on for 5-10 minutes, game discussions ("End Game") are around 20 minutes, weekly highlights are about 1-2 minutes. Then streams are for 3 hours.

Isn't the audience retention thing an average?
so if someone starts your video and stops straight away it would totally affect it.
I have had comments on a forum I post some videos up with some saying "I just scanned through quickly"
so how do you really know what the genuine audience is really watching? I don't think you can.

My video's seem to be getting longer, last one was like 48 minutes, But I don't know how I could cut it shorter as I got things to say and it takes time to show it.

I never really looked at the stats but it shows that unsubscribers are at 25% and subscribers at 33%
but they would be missing a lot if they left at 33% so I really think it's more got to do with the fact some viewers will stop after a few seconds as it may not of been what they wanted in the first place.

I'm going to be doing a whole bunch of very similar video's scrapping out LCD TV's, every different model I get so I think i'll be going the short version and sticking to just 5 minute vids, but my normal video's I can't really cut short and explain what I want to.

I aim for between 2 - 5 minutes which works well for sit down vlogs but I dislike going over so much that I have to be talked out of chopping important things out :')

My aim is also 2-4 minutes, with the exception of tutorials, diy, review videos, etc. If it's informative I let it last longer. :)

A lot of my videos are around 1 hour. Surprisingly my videos longer than an hour do better though. I just do not have the time for a bunch of 4 hour videos at this time.
