I've Got It
i make horror video game commentary and i was wondering do you have any advices to keep them entertained and not click away after 2 minutes ?
i thought about that but if i did scream louder then i would be acting and i want people watch the video for how i react not how i act to react..Jumpscares. Lots and lots of jumpscares. Make sure you scream louder than the game as well.
most horror games are single players and my buddy doesn't know english much i thought about share screen and stuff but my pc isn't the best and we live far away from each other so we can't do videos everydayMaybe try to get a buddy involved and you can banter between each other. We tried to do some solo content but a lot of the talking felt forced, whereas together we can talk about random stuff, talk to the audience and generally play off each other

and by the way the problem is iam not the whos making the game so i can't choose how many jumpscares and people get bored before the jumpscare Scene even happen!
so the point of this topic is how do i make them entertained so they stay until the fun parts begin ( jumpscares )
Great idea i will use that!So just try to hook them up with a small jumpscare intro right from the beginning. Than they woild like to see how it all happened.
Great idea i will use that!
and iam also thinking about doing highlights by that i mean i play the game normally and i only take the best parts and merge it together but iam afraid that people who are interested about the game or want to see the full game will be disappointed!
Just combine the two approaches - one video full play another one just selected super action - the best. You can not make a viral video from every video you upload. But the hooking up elemnt in the beginning of the movie is important even for the full play video (I think). Also check the YouTUbe creators book. They have some great ideas there:
