How is your channel doing?

Oh wow!!! How often does YouTube change its algorithm so major like that ??? Now I'm scare :(
You should be scared. It's never good to put all your eggs in one basket, and back then that's what I did. And that basket was Youtube. All my eggs in a basket that is being held by someone else (YT). We are at the mercy of their algorithms. Back then they had to take action to eliminate a bunch of spammer girls called 'reply girls' who would put their cleavage into a thumbnail and "re: popular video title" and fill up the suggested video section of these popular videos with these irrelevant 'reply' videos. A bunch of people were affected by the algorithm changes but as it was explained to me by Youtube support (I had written them hoping it was a mistake...how naive of me) my channel was affected similarly to the reply girls channels because of my thumbnails. They acknowledged that my thumbnails were completely relevant to my content, but that it was just a tough break and that I wasn't the only person playing by the rules who was affected by this. Indeed there were tons of people complaining in the Youtube partner forum about it, so much so that a Google employee (YTPaul) had to come in and explain the situation...the algorithm change, upcoming algorithm changed, etc. It was pretty wild.

But yeah, I haven't heard of any major algorithm changes that have happened recently or will happen soon, but I know Youtube is always trying to improve their product. Those changes in 2012 and March 2013 represented a major shift in the way Youtube ranked videos. That was the beginning of ranking by viewer engagement and whether videos lead to an overall session time as opposed to views/clicks. I wouldn't worry about anything huge anytime soon.

Dang man, that sounds bad...although I don't get it xD

My channel is doing ok. My growth is slower than last month, which is sad, but I just reached 200 subs, which makes up for that :)

Last 30 days shows views are up but earnings dropped a bit:

We're doing ok, finally got into a schedule which hopefully means good things. we've hit 25 subscribers twice now, only to lose a subscriber not long after. The universe doesn't want me to have nice things. :p But we are approaching 2,000 views with a vengeance, and we're getting some nice repeat engagement from a few subscribers. So in my opinion things are heading in a good direction.

Ive been active per usual and I have noticed a drop of views and new subscribers. I think that is because my channels main audience are people in the same age as I. And since im on summer break most people are not on the web as much as they usually are. So hang in there s**t will get itself right soon! ^^

My views and subscriber count has actually been pretty steady. I took like a 9 month break from my channel to focus on sixth form but I was lucky enough to not be hit by a major decline in views or subscribers - fair enough I did lose some subscribers but it never got any lower than 77, when the most subscribers I've had has been 79. Hopefully by coming back now and being more active I'll see an increase! :)

I am facing a period of stagnation since my rebrand. YouTube has revamped the Youtube comments back to the old layout, and the way I have been commenting has raked in some exposure.

I seem to be getting a decent amount of views, well considering my subscriber count is currently at 36 anyway. I'm getting an average of just over 100 views for my fully produced reviews etc. It's certainly not terrible and is just motivating me to improve my content quality and my upload consistency.
