Quality is important to me, to an extent. I'm a daily vlogger, and as much as I would love my vlogs to be in 1080p or even 720p, sometimes it's just not worth the extra upload time. I feel like the quality of my vlogs (usualy 480p) doesn't take away from what I am trying to make (which is a day by day documentary of my life). I do upload other special videos like tags/challenges/etc and I like those to be in HD because I feel like those are more quality-needed videos.
I work with what I got, which is nothing special or high tech. I use my camera, and sometimes I use a tripod (on my special videos). For lighting I use a normal lamp we have in our living room, and for a background I just choose a place somewhere in my house (Usually my bedroom). I use background music on only my special videos, as I feel if I used it in my daily vlogs it would take away from what I'm trying to record. I feel like background music gives videos life.
I do not have a lot of money to spend on video editing software, so I use what is already installed on my laptop (iMove 11). It does everything I want it to, and I do not need a fancy video editing software just yet. That is something I will look into when I start to make different kind of videos where I would like some neat editing/special effects.
