How else can I promote my videos

Hi guys,

I have now made 2 videos on my channel

"50 Facts About me"

&

"Tasting American Candy"

I am trying to upload a video ebery week.

The only social media I use is Twitter

The way I promote on Twitter is to go onto a Big Youtubers Twitter, follow thier followers and then DM them asking to check out my new video / channel.

I dont see the point in me using Facebook as my videos wont interest my friends.

How else can I promote my video?

Is it worth me going on other videos similar to mine on yourtube, ones with lots of views, and then comment saying "check out my video" Or is that cringe and wont work?

Get connected with the community your videos fall in, I.e. im a Minecraft PE player so illl talk to people in the comment section on Minecraft videos. Browse Minecraft on Instagram talk to people/follow people on there. I search mine craft on twitter interact with people talking about mine craft, making mine craft pictures etc

I cant see your channel as its blocked at my work so i dont know your niche. But get your name over the internet. Communicate with others. Make friends and connections with other you tubers and viewers in your niche and the views will come. This is what i have been doing and seeing good results.

I definitely not recommend you to go to bigger YouTubers and write a comment in which you ask them to check your video. I find it really low.
Instead, what I'm doing now at the moment, is searching for bigger YouTubers that do the same thing as me & check their content.
If I find one that I really like his style, I would subscribe, watch his videos when he posts them, and leave genuine comments what I thought about his video. I never ask him to check my channel.

Edit: Maybe I would give him a private message to congratulate him and to give me some advice as a YouTube beginner.

Be part of the community first and after people from that community will come to check your channel if they think you are interesting.

I always promote my videos on FB groups, it helps me a lot and very much. I use Twitter too but I won't be concentrating on Twitter right now. So far FB has been best viewing strategy for me.
 
I would definitely not recommend commenting on peoples videos asking them to check out your channel or messaging bigger youtubers as most people class it as spam. What I do recommend is to make friends in the youtube community. Stay on here, look for collabs, comment on people's posts, and eventually you will have people coming in to look at your channel. Its definitely worth it when you do it the right way.
 
Its defiantly a big NO advertising on others videos. Somebody has worked hard on their video and someone comes over with the generic, "Nice video come over and check me out" Its something that really bugs me when i see it on others videos. You advertise just by normally communicating i check out alot of smaller you tubes by clicking on them via the comments when i think something they said was interesting etc
 
If you're leaving a comment on someone else's video, make it a genuine one that shows you've watched the video and the video has inspired you to leave a comment. If the creator / their audience wants, they'll check out your channel, you don't need to tell them to.
Personally I don't like promo DMs on Twitter either for the same reason but each to their own I guess.
If you're into Tumblr there's also various accounts set up to promote videos. Whatever community you enjoy, use it to your advantage (eg on Facebook your friends might not be interested but if you join a group for YouTube creators you might get more interest).

Whenever someone comments on my videos "watch my videos" or "check my channel" the comments go directly to the spam folder (even tho I accept them after). So I wouldn't recommend you to spam other peoples videos.
