How does this video compare to other YouTube videos you watched this week?

Occasionally when i log onto youtube. i will find something like this on my home page.

YT asking me to rate one of the videos i've watched. i don't get this all the time. Maybe once a week and it's always a random video i've watched.

does anyone know why YT does this? has the video been reported as offensive and YT is trying to check if the Video is not offensive by asking people to rate it?

if i rate the video as "one of the worst" will it significantly impact the Yotubers or video rank?

Yeah YouTube usually ask me this kinda rating after I watch any video. I watch many music videos on YOUTUBE, so I feel glad to rate the videos as BEST. Also the videos that make me cringe, I rate them worst and I would never like to watch those videos appear on my homepage lol.

i haven't received anything like this. You can make double check of how many dislikes that video has got ? They could be wanted to verify that number.

I have got that a few times.
If it's my own video I always give the best rating.

I still haven't seen this on YouTube. =/ I've gotten several surveys about products before videos start (instead of an ad), but I haven't had any surveys about actual videos. o_0

Iv personally never seen this before but I have a feeling it could very easily become an abused system where not only minor YouTubers who people just want to troll but larger channels picking up speed and gaining momentum could get hit negatively and have a negative effect on YouTube rankings and ratings.

Its a trial and error thing for YouTube I think and were getting the rough end of it all.

i got this a few months ago, and it was like @Crown said, a totally unrelated news video that I wouldn't normally watch. it would feel weird rating a video that discusses a horrible massacre, as the best thing i watched all week.
so i just clicked the don't know/forgot option.
