How Do YOU Promote Your Videos

Theres a lot of threads here on how you should approach video promotion but I just wanted to know how YOU promote your videos and what success(if any) you have gotten from them.
 
I have promoted my videos on various forums, and since doing so I have gained 6 subscribers, and my average views a day have gone up drasticly
 
I've used Facebook fan pages before. Posting a link to my video if it's relevant to the fan page, then the actual page might reshare it, then all their fans see it and start to reshare it too (highest I got was 36 shares on a video).

Twitter I've had some decent exposure, I don't have that many followers, but I've gotten 2-3 retweets before on a video.

I've done the Reddit thing, got 1-3 upvotes.

Those are the main places that I try to promote so far...

If anybody asks me to watch their videos, I never watch it.

What I do: post it on facebook, share it to my friends. And put it in my signature here. Thats about it.

I post comments on similar videos encouraging people to look at my content. Letting them know that my channel exists.

Not as good of a strategy for a lot types of channels, but for news it's pretty awesome since the various media outlets easily post a thousand or more videos a day.

It's kind of spamming, but works.
