How do you differentiate yourself from the masses?

The whole premise of my channel is using my free time that I got from quitting my job, which I think is unique. Also my main video series is a 40's style radio drama/comedy that is way over the top cheesy, which is proving to be quite unique lol.

I thought a channel from an animal shelter would be enough to differentiate and succeed, but it's not enough. I'm working on videos that show more about the shelter and about the pets after they have been adopted. Those videos are a lot harder to do so it's taking me longer to make videos because I have a steep learning curve. Learning stuff is difficult.
Sorry, this just popped into my mind and I can't get rid of it: 'teaching an old dog new tricks'....

I just act genuine and be who I am and say whatever I want!
Also I kind of give off that girly personality but balance it with how I swear like a sailor and be super aggressive in games.

By uploading content with no hesitation whether the audience may find it offensive or not. I have a satire comedy channel and I have a lot of ideas in mind that may and probably will be offensive for some people, but for me it's all dark humor and comedy. They may say "most people won't appreciate that" and I simply say "It's not for most people." I know what I'm up for when I started this channel and I don't have a single fear of what people may think about it :) 7 billion people in the world, not a lot of content creators, hundreds of thousands of them are bound to like you :)

as weird, and off as this sounds, i use my physical disability do the talking, but i show through my videos that it doesn't really affect anything, which also helps with things, so i just be myself, it helps to be different, but also be yourself in the same sense, you know? i guess it is just "Me" thing, since most people have no idea what the disability i have, and tell me its not a disability, but its just something "Unusual" when i know what i am, and i embrace it, i think people are too nice to strangers...

I feature a cat puppet who talks about self esteem. I am pretty sure I'm the only channel of that kind right now.

I've said this before but being a Let's Play channel, I'm primarily offering myself. I'm sure the games draw some attention but that can only do so much. I have to be me and if the viewer likes my personality, then I feel I've done a good job. But in my games comes anger, frustration, laughter, silliness and hopefully amusement. I act genuine to myself. Granted, I am growing so my future videos may seem like I'm acting as someone I'm not. But I believe many of us go through the same thing. We get more comfortable and realise our "on camera personality" is different for us than out in public. I feel that's ok as long as it's not blown completely out of proportion.

My Girlfriend and I are not necessarily different on camera but we sure are more out going.
