How do y'all use reddit?

First of all, please don't shun me! - MODS: Please move if posted in wrong category.

I have to ask this, How do y'all post your videos in reddit and get views without getting the boot?
Poking around YTtalk I see that other YTtalkers are claiming that they get loads of views by posting there but I just can not understand how this is possible. Following the reddit rules I posted a video there and got 20 views but then I think they put some sort of a spell on me because every single video after that got zero views.

Anyone want to share their secrets or knowledge with me?
 
I have never gotten more than 20 views from it. That said, I have had videos get 3 or 4 dislikes from Reddit... :(
 
Find the right subreddit. I'm assuming you post to /r/videos. That subreddit is simply too big, and not exactly what you're looking for. Just poke around, and you'll find something. /r/filmmakers got me about 100 views on a video, and some good feedback.

Nice. I have posted on reddit about 5 times in different sub reddits. I have 60 views total from the site...

what did you post? because I posted a video in /r/tf2 today and it went from 17 views with 1 like and no dislikes to 241 views with 3 likes and 1 dislike and it still on the front page
