When I record my videos, it appears very clear ang high quality but when I post on YouTube, it's a different story. How do I make sure it uploads as HD?
How do make sure my video uploads as HD 720p YouTube?

it has to have dimensions of 1280 x 720 or for full HD its 1920 x 1080.

Sorry, is it the same thing as the 16:9 size?

Generally when you edit your video make sure your render options are correct.
For instance i attached a screenshot of my settings when i render or edit my video in Premiere Pro.
Format is usually : H.264 (.mp4 file)
You could as well change the size to 1920 x 1080 to have a Full HD video i just don't do it cuz the file is too big and my internet sucks i don't wanna wait for longer upload.

Oh ok thanks I get it now
