How did your family react to you being a youtuber?

My mom loves it, I think. I have 5 brothers and sisters and I got some raised eyebrows there, but I really think it depends on the way you present it. I was really proud, excited, passionate but also said it was a hobby to get the creative juices flowing.

I don't think anyone really cares enough to put a ton of thought into it, so I don't do that either.
 
Indifference lol. I don't think they really care to be honest. I mean they know I do it, and occasionally bring it up. But they aren't all enthusiastic about it. Which is fine, as it's my thing and I don't expect anyone to get excited. My partner is very supportive though, and she gets excited every time I get a new subscriber lol. She's a sweetheart.
 
Yes I have! But unfortunately once I buy ANYTHING they tell me "Aidan, are you going to do a 'What's in the box' video" and it really grinds my gears. I try not to talk Youtube around them.

They knew it from the beginning because at that time I still lived at home. I guess they didn't take it serious since I had 0 subscriber at that time.
Now that I have 13k subs they occasionally ask how much money I now make per month :P
 
Well seeing as though its not my full time job they dont really care either way. They still want me to get a job and better myself blah blah blah. Parents right? So selfish.............
 
They're just eh about it. They don't really know how it works so they think of it as a hobby thing.
 
My sister who is 10 years older than me, is my biggest supporter. She's constantly is telling me what to improve on, to edit my descriptions, will never skip an ad, shares on Facebook & Pinterest. And my Mom shares all my stuff. My family is extremely supportive.
