First, I think your goal shouldn't be to get 500 subs. Subs are fine, but what you want are people who are interested in what you do and want to watch. There are plenty of people with 10,000 subs and don't get views.
The best thing to do is introduce yourself, watch other peoples stuff, sub them and hope they do the same. People are more willing to support someone who support them as well. I, for example, am going to check out your channel right now. With any luck.

no hard work man. or you could do sub 4 sub (search sub 4 sub on youtube) but I don't recommend that.

Hard work is key invest your time in to what you do and make sure its good quality Content..Don't just throw videos out there with out any effort.. 500 is a huge goal..some people get it quicker then others and some people give up before they get there...you have to stay consistent and do something you love in most cases if your doing something you love people will see that and that will attract more people to your Channel.. Goals are good but don't set them too high. Just have fun with what you do

I watched your homeless video, and while I understood the concept, I don't think it was very well executed. If your goal is to hit 500 subs, I would suggest you work more on content and quality of content.

Totally agree with the first sentence here. It's not about subs, it's all about getting people to subscribe to you because they want to watch more! Now I only have 41 subscribers at the moment, and damn I would love to have 500 but it's just going to take time unfortunately.
A lot of channels get hidden in the dark initially. We all just need a little bit of a spotlight to be seen for our channels to get out there! In good time my friend, the viewers will come!

Another thing to do is network. Talk to people. For example, iRemi, I dislike gaming videos, but when I clicked on your page the video that started playing entertained me. Your commentary is funny to me. SUB. Now I will watch more often.
The trick is that by doing that, it encourages others to check out iRemi's channel because there was something funny there, and he will be more prone to check out my channel as well.
