How beneficial has scripting been for your content?

I've found the best method for me, is to note down main bullet points I want to mention, but in order for it to come across as natural, I keep them brief so the flow comes out pretty natural

its more of a style thing. i never script. i never edit. i have even asked multiple times if people want me to edit out the random off topic rubbish i talk about and make the videos like 50% shorter and everyone screams no.

i think its different if your talking about something like tech or game review or some comedy sketch or acting thing. you need to include facts and figures so you might want to have those mapped out. but other than that. no script all the way for me, most youtubers aren't actors and its painful when so many videos are so obviously and overly scripted

I never do it. I should, because I'm (if I may be immodest for a moment) a really good writer. I've had over 30 plays produced in the past 20 years, but I'm also (if I may be self-effacing) a TERRIBLE actor. If I'm not just saying what's coming to mind right in the moment, then I sound more wooden than a plywood box holding cedar planks. So I let my editing program do all the "scripting" for me. Usually, I can improvise a really decent sounding video, if I slow down and just go from point to point.

It's beneficial as you don't stutter in your words however I never take that root because I am lazy, I make my videos instantly without planning it out and it still comes out good however I say it's a 75/25 split because scripting is helpful and that you don't have to restart everything again because you are not saying everything on top of your head

It's better, much better. Don't listen to anyone who says otherwise. If you have any talent, you can sound you're not doing a cold read, your thoughts will be organized because you've written/read them over a few times and it w I'll sound better than anything improvised

Also you can put the script in for closed captioning which will boost you up as the words in the script will go into SEO too

If you are talking to the camera than it is a good idea, to at least write what you want to talk about. You don,t have to read straight from the script but knowing what subjects you will be talking about helps with timing which is vital, if the energy drops, you lose the viewer.
