I've Got It
Hey yttalk-lings what is the whole "partnership" thing about? Is it a partnership with YouTube itself or a third party? And what are the benefits to becoming a partner?
Finally, would it help me get more publicity?

So many questions, so just answer as fully as you can! Thanks a lot!

Hey Mikey! I had the same question and found that the 2nd thread on the YouTube Video Monetization & Partnership Forum really helped!

um I cant link it won't let me. sorry. but networks do not promote you. if you were to partner now, you would get no benefits. wait until your channel is large and then consider

It applies to both partnerships with YouTube and networks.

Some benefits of becoming a parter are: (Note that every network is different)
  • Protection against click bombing, and bots. (Clicking on ads, bot services that add fake views, likes, comments, etc.)
  • Higher paying ads.
  • Audio Library free to use.
  • Forums to promote, collab, get ideas, etc.
  • Possible promotion
  • Tools to help grow your channel.
  • Tools to get a better understanding of your stats.
  • Campaigns to make more money.

Most networks only promote their top partners, so don't partner with a network for promotion. You'll be disappointed.

If you're thinking about partnering with a network, wait until your channel is larger. (At least a minimum of 100 views daily). The more views you get daily, the more money you'll make with a network. (Remember that networks take a cut of the earnings. Average about 30-40%)
