Help With Windows 8 :3

Alrighty so since Windows 8 apparently has only a headset port, not a microphone and headphone slot, could you reccomend a cheap headphone that comes with a decent quality microphone. I tried using the Apple headphones that come with iPhones and stuff but the sound quality bugs me. So if you could reccomend anything that would work that'll be great! :) thanks
 
I'm confused sorry, Windows 8 is software, not your hardware. How many ports are available on your hardware? You should have one line in or mic, and one headphone out.

Are you using one of those pad things... ?
 
well the headset I use plugs into the pc via usb port but i use the
Giotech ex-05 headset it works on mac, pc( you will have to google if it works on windows 8) xbox and ps3 and it costs £40 from game in the UK
 
Sorry for taking long to respond. On my laptop (which has windows 8) I only have 1 port and it shows a headset with a. Microphone attached. I have turtle beaches but to use them I must plug in 2 plugs. So I tried usin the normal Apple headphone but the sound quality was horrible, so do you know any headsets that come with a microphone and only require 1 wire to be plugged in?
