How can a 3minutes fraps 30fps file be 4gb?

because fraps makes extremely large files

Fraps makes high quality videos the higher the quality the bigger the file size
you can make the file smaller by compressing it there are many programs that you can find on the Internet that does that.

Any file compressor will do there's really no way decide a bad one from a good one

Yes, perhaps find a compressor and compress the video so it's not as large?

I guess not, one more question to ask. Is it better to compress the video before rendering... Or after you've render'd it? The finish piece if you'd like.
