Headset Sound and Commentay.

JollyDangerous

I Love YTtalk
I have Turtle Beaches X21s and a Elgato Capture Device. I play my vido games on a computer monitor but it dosnt have a audio out just a audio in.

I was wondering if it was possible to get the game audio to go through my headset AND STILL BE ABLE TO RECORD MY COMMENTARY WITH THE HEADSET MIC?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

You have the same headset/recording device as me.

I don't think there is (at least I've never been able to do that) because you have to plug the headphones into the computer, instead of your TV (what you'd need is a mic like a Snowball/Yeti and then plug your earphones into the telly)

Thats what I mean I don't have a tv. I have a monitor that dosnt have a outlet for the audio. I do have a snowball mic.

Ohhh sorry misunderstood. Hmmm. okay. Ooh I dunno then I'm afraid! I've not heard of a monitor that doesn't have an earphone socket
LOl yea Im in a pretty pickle. But I just tried my sound quality again for the snowball mic and the sound is back to normal I used to hear a weird reverb but not anymore. As far as the headset sound I know I can just connect them directly to the counsel so Ill get it that way but I would still like to leave this open if anyone has found a work around.[DOUBLEPOST=1377373534,1377373498][/DOUBLEPOST]Thanks for the help Frankie :D

if you bought astros you get a mixamp which allows you to plug your optical into your console :P then your usb into the console or the laptop whether you are using skype or in game mics to speak!

Oh cool but what if I don't have a optical port and I don't want to go out and buy another headset.

So I finally figured out how to do it I had to buy a extra vga cable for the red green blue ports and after I plugged my headphones into the ports I plugged the usb into the laptop and it started working. Sound from the system to the headset and Im recording to the laptp and my legato through my mic through the usb.
