I have been trying to inform people nicely as posible, and I'm starting to get tired of seeing this happen on the forums. So many new members join the forums and spam their channels everywhere, usually asking for subs, and to do sub4sub. Instead of introducing themselves in the introduce yourself forum, they make a post saying something along the lines of 'Help me reach ____ subs I am trying to get big on youtube and be famous', 'sub to me and i'll sub to you'. Really? That's your introduction to the forums? How about introducing yourself. Nothing turns me away from checking someones channel out more than seeing stuff like that. You know the saying 'First impressions are everything', and if your first impression for me is you just want to be big and famous, than I'm sorry but I'm not going to help you achieve that.

People subscribe to your channel because they like you. Not because you went around asking people to subscribe to you. Sub4Sub is a nice gesture, but it's completely pointless. You are left with dead subs, who do not watch your content. So really, whats the point? I mean if it makes you feel better knowing that your subscribers are not watching your videos, then go for it I guess. You might as well just bot your views (which by the way is against tos so don't do it). I'd rather have my subscribers watching my videos and engaging with me than a bunch of dead subs.

and please, stop complaining that you 'deserve more views, subs, and money'. You aint no celebrity. Just stop.

Sorry, I have been trying to be nice about it, but it's starting to bug me.
 
I get your point. So many people seem to think they deserve subs because they asked for them, in reality they should do all they can to improve content. Sub4sub to me is so dirty because it is like buying views or subs. You get subs you dont deserve rather then working the hard way to get them.

And I am so suprised people are so publicity driven rather than being interested in talking to people and learning from people in the forum.
 
Can't say I've seen much of this myself, and if I have I just ignore it and move on, but I agree with your Introduce Yourself point, quite a few just ask us to check out their channels and don't say much about anything else :<
 
Agreed. It bugs many. I do my best to delete any threads like that, as do the other mods (obviously we can't catch them all unfortunately given they are indeed not pokemon :( )

To second it folks - if you come to the forum, you are free to go to the promo forums and say whatever you like. Beg for subs if you must. But in the other forums, get to know people before demanding graphics or demanding that people sub to you or check you out. Such people often wonder 'why aren't people watching my stuff?' Well that's why!

I must delete at least 10 posts a day like this, so god knows how many there are, I must miss loads of them :o

People want to do it the easy way and bypass all the hard work and effort but they don't realise doing this will backfire... shame really.

It's bound to happen these days, I just ignore it and it goes away. There's always mods though. I'm sure if it gets too bad, they'll be at the ready. :)

I agree, it is like how people ask for shoutouts and box for box from people they dont even like or know. I feel like several traits are emergeing in the oversaturated small sub zone that I just find to be...cheap.
 
Totally agree! I hate people like that and I usually post, "This thread isn't meant to advertise your channel." It has to stop. When I joined I actually Introduced Myself like your supposed to. I told everyone what my channel is about and who I am basically.
 
Yea there will always be people that just come here to bomb are media section but thats why i usually only look at active users videos lol
