Have I lost my morals?

Let me give a little back story. As of right now, I'm a 20 year old college student working two jobs, and trying to run a gaming channel on YouTube. The first job only gives me 4 hours a week on minimum wage ($8/hr) and the other gives me about $50 a week. I've tried getting a different job, but as we all know, that is a little difficult. So I decided, do to my limited means and the fact that my money is focused on school, to put donations links on my YouTube and Twitch channels. I'm not begging for donations, it's just there for those generous enough to help my channel grow. Does this make me a morally unjust person?

No you're not being morally unjust or anything bad like that. It's not like you're pushing people to donate and you have 2 jobs + school + youtube.

I see lots of people do that. And I agree with Kingjemnas :)

Thanks so much for the reassurance. I was really feeling bad about this. I do have one question though.
Should I do one mention to the ability to donate in my "i'm back" vlog?

You could and don't make it a big deal just a sort of : hey guys there's a link here if you want to help me.
I dunno or maybe tell stories about how bad your job is or something leading on to that ? It's really up to you man

Awesome thank you so much. I came into this feeling like a total tool. Now I feel like a cool tool asking for money :)

It's not inmoral, unjust or unfair: it's real. You can't pay your bills and with a little help from your friends things may go better.
Only thing is... Don't go around boasting and bragging, telling people how cool you are and how great your life is, and then ask them for charity. Wouldn't work. But if you talk about your bosses and your adventures to make ends meet, that's a different story.

If it does feel very awkward to you, on-demand printed merchandise (like CafePress) might be an option, and you can link to it from within your videos. Design a funny T-Shirt that shows and describers what it is to be a 20-year-old YouTuber with two part time jobs, college courses, and a life somewhere you can't find it...

That is not morally wrong lol. If you were saying "donate to charity" but it was really for you, then that would be morally wrong. No worries man.

You guys seriously rock. I felt like total crap putting those donation links up on my channels and you lovely people have reassured me to the point where I only feel slightly weird, a normal feeling one should get when taking money from strangers.[DOUBLEPOST=1370337784,1370337610][/DOUBLEPOST]
