I don't get why people hate for no reason... Maybe for something he said.. Lol. But I heard he helps a lot of foundations, shelters and institutes... Well

long story short:
youtube's old promotion system was views, then retention rates. THis was before gamers got onto youtube as a major group. YouTube would promote his videos, based on where he lived.(ex. you live in Ohio, you videos are promoted in the midwest) He also moved a lot, so his promotion shifted to different couintries.

That's a rough of it
 
I do think he is very funny, and I love all of his videos. He has gotten a little more "goofy" instead of just using the game to make humor, but that doesn't really bother me
 
I have watched a couple of his videos and he seems like a decent person. I feel like hating is asking to never reach their level or beyond.
 
Many people just resent being encouraged to interact with the same few channels on nearly every page you're on within YouTube. Just because he's the biggest gamer-related channel doesn't mean we have to endure a link to one of his videos everywhere we go on YouTube just because he may have played the damn game, already.

You have this feeling, "Enough, alright, I get it!" You can only suffer so many thumbnails with his mug (insert 'hilarious' expression) on it before you glaze-over.
 
I can't watch him aaall the time, but when I do he makes me laugh so hard sometimes. He's offensive, but charming. His Photoshop videos crack me up every time I see them.
