Has anyone shared their videos with your family/and or friends?

Since I'm not a native english speaker I haven't told anyone but my best friends. They even help me out and join me in videos sometimes. Apart from that, I'm thinking of telling my family and friends as I've got nothing to be ashamed of and I really couldn't care less about what they think!

I've shown some close friends and they all thought it was awesome. I haven't had the guts to actually share a video via my Facebook, but I am pondering on doing that when we've got a few more videos up on the channel.

"Has anyone shared their videos with THEIR family and or friends?"***

How did they react? or respond. Did they support you or were like "HAH you'll never make it." type of attitude.

I've still been contemplating whether or not I should post on my FB and let people know. Because you know, your friends know other people etc and basically the more you can get your video out there the better. (Not asking for subs or anything like that). So, share your stories! How you felt, how long it took, what happened? better or for worse? >_<

I have and my family doesn't really care much. I mean, my brother is very into his gunpla (so he can't judge what I like doing), my sister only watches beauty or korean stuff on youtube and my mom is almost exactly like my sister, so they don't really know much about youtube to care. My mom kinda likes telling her friends about it, but they don't really know anything about youtube either.
Only my best friend is supportive lol. So I didn't get any extra viewers from telling them nor much support either haha~

Also, I don't use facebook. :p

I have with my girlfriend! But it's a gaming channel and she isn't really a gamer type, except for farmville and that kind of stuff on YouTube... But she is really supportative, so I can't really ask more!

All day ury day. I actually have my friends helping out (since they insisted) with spreading content to other areas of the Internet, my mother shares my videos even though they're objectively offensive to some people. She's a doll

I just shared my a video for the first time on fb. My family and friends were really supportive, it was really motivating.
Yeah exactly! Motivation is what we all need[DOUBLEPOST=1468868599,1468868583][/DOUBLEPOST]
I have. Their response was essentially "I don't get why anyone would watch this". Thanks guys.... Love you all :(

LOL that would be the story of my life too so don't worry >_<[DOUBLEPOST=1468868646][/DOUBLEPOST]

Pretty cool, I'm thinking soon...soon I shall share it with everyone then get like 20 dislikes LOL

My family all know about the channel but because we've been doing it a long time but they don't tend to watch any of our videos. I have however found that my son and his mates have been watching our videos a lot (Even though I wouldn't recommend kids watching because of language lol) even to the point that they all wanted YT channels themselves. I have set the bar pretty high for him and create a good level of content but his mates literally just film on their iPads with no editing. :) The worst people to tell i have found are work colleagues as you can be looked upon completely differently. I have been in a pretty senior job for the past 7 months and have struggled not to tell some of the younger people in my office because I know they would enjoy my content.

In my humble opinion this YouTube thing is not really for most peoples families because they don't tend to have the same interests and the older folk don't even get YT. hahaha. :)

So true, haha older people are like MEH who cares just get a job. (I think part of it is due to the fact that they're jelly :P) But venture out and do what you like :) and with passion it may become something!
