Their old content holds them back ? Like any other YTer, I delete older videos because that's not how I think anymore, or I find it hard to watch. But I really want to delete all of my videos and start from scratch... again. I used to go through every 3-6 months and delete older videos and I've slowed down on that. But now that I have Vegas, and 2 tripods (1 gorillapod, 1 regular tripod) I feel like as long as I make content, I'll be good. I've been doing my best to keep my brain sink from clogging, and partnership isn't an issue, since I'm a partner but my adsense got sabotaged / clickbombed.

Like my subscribers see this big jump between crappy HD iTouch videos, to quick jumpcuts with natural lighting and an actual topic instead of "hey, this is what I did today."
 
Nope. I look back and see how much I've improved over the years. I also still find a lot of my old content funny- I'd just be able to put it together much better today. The only videos I've deleted were because they've gotten a strike on my account. The one that pisses me off the most is the one Google decided to delete for me though.
 
Why not keep the old videos because it'll shows to others how much better your content has become and people might appreciate that you've spent more time into making better quality videos! :D
 
I don't think I'll delete any of my videos, no matter how bad the earlier(and not so earlier!) ones are :D

Although I do think that if people come across my old videos first, they would be less likely to give my new ones a chance.
 
I wont even watch my older ones that's how much I know they're awful lol I cringe at the thought of them without seeing them again :D they can stay there but please dont ever make me watch any of them :D
 
I know what you mean...I did think about unlisting some of my older stuff, but in the end I think it's alright to keep older videos. I'm assuming most people take a quick look at the date of the video when watching so they will understand. And like some people have mentioned in this thread, it shows how your channel has development and improved, plus it's quite nostalgic being able to look at your old stuff!
