Growing Quickly

If you want to grow quickly on youtube you need to do alot of work inside youtube.

1) Annotations- You need to put atleast one annotation on every video you upload linking to another one of your videos. You should also try out the "Mystery video" annotation poping up for a second on the screen to make you viewer more likely to wonder about what the annotation was or if there was something there at all.

2)Playlists-You need put all videos that are related into playlists. Use annotations to link to the previous and next episode on the screen at the end of your video.

3)Thumbnails and Titles-You have to make sure that your thumbnails and titles are eyecatching, and that your yt-series has thumbnails that look pretty much the same so that the viewer knows what has entered their subbox.

4)Social Media-Make a sure your youtube account has a twitter account linked and fan/channel page on facebook for your youtube channel. Whenever you upload make it so that your youtube tells your twitter to tweet every single video you upload. Then post a link of your video on your facebook fan/channel page. This helps your SEO.

5)Comment section-Interact with your subscribers. Make sure that you reply to as many comments as possible. Youtube is like a blog, the more likes and comments, the more likely you are to get views.

6)Ask, Ask, Ask-Always ask your subs what they want to see in the next video at the end of your previous one. Ask them if they want to see a series based on A or a series based on B.

7)Collaborate-Do you have a friend who also does youtube? Create videos with that friend. It is alot more exciting to watch two people than one. You can link to eachother in descriptions or onscreen and help eachother out on youtube.

Hope this helped! :)

Really helpful points, I manage to do this and it kinda helps. Especially point 4 is really, really important. Viewers will know you really care about them, so that's why I always respond on every comment I get. That way people will stick to you more than that you just upload and leave it that way. ;)

All good advice :)

I would just add a Step 8 and title it Be Patient. Building a community and a successful channel will not happen overnight (with a very few exceptions). It's a constant task that requires consistency in it's highest form. Follow these steps will help you grow but don't expect a ridiculous number in a short amount of time.

Your best bet is to work with the fanbase you have at all times and ensure you can convert your Subscribers in to "Fanatic Fans". These are the people that will share your video without you having to ask and will be on edge just waiting for you to post again. Don't neglect what you have because you want more.

And Step 9: Keep on creating content more than once a week. If you are planning to make a new channel on youtube save up some videos that you can upload later instead of making them on the go. If you are going to do lets plays make sure that you have finished the game before you start uploading.

Great points! I constantly forget to ask people what topics they'd like to see next.[DOUBLEPOST=1403880630,1403879504][/DOUBLEPOST]Out of curiosity what is the Mystery Video annotation? I don't see it as an option in my annotation list. I would assume it would choose another video of yours at random and link to it - I'm pretty sure I've seen it on other YouTuber's videos..

Mystery video is when you have a related video that you posted long time ago that might interest the viewers featured as an annotation on screen for a second. Those annotations normally has the highest amount of interaction compared to other annotatitons..

Really helpful! Thank you! Hopefully we can start growing more but it's tricky to find the people to watch our channel!

OP post are actually basic tips how to get started on Youtube. If you really want to grow on Youtube you need to show/give people something what they want(so they come back for more!). Try figure this out!
