GreenScreen Advice

I've Got It
So I am looking for a green screen to do a background-less face cam for my gaming channel. It will be used mainly only for scary type games. I won't use it for other games.

I thought about just buying some green fabric from the fabric store but it is not cheap for cotton fabric. 8-14USD per yard. I'd need like 2 yards and depending on how wide it is.

So I figure I should just buy a greenscreen kit. The one I am looking at is a photo green screen 60USD. Comes with a green muslin and white fabric and comes with a pair of stands, some clamps and a rod to hold it up. Does not come with any lights. I just find it weird they only mention photography and nothing about video chromakeying in the description.

I dont really have a wall behind me so I can't hang a green screen.

I like it because it would make face cam much less intrusive and take up less precious video screen real-estate.

I am not quite sure if I am making it more complicated than it should be. lol.

Since I cant post a link... I'd just put the picture and descirption/spec.

Square Perfect's green screen is soft enough to drape immediately and can be quickly and easily ironed to produce a texture more akin to canvas or paper. They can be hung on a standor ceiling mounted, or used with any clamps or clips that you may currently be working with. They are machine washable (please allow for 5-8% manufacturing shrinkage) and will therefore have a longer life!

Seems like a decent kit, but doing something simple like using neon green paper works as well. It's all in finding the right lighting so that there's not too much shadow or reflection.

Sorry, this is completely off topic, but I love your picture :3 Is that your dog?

Yeah. I did a dog cam for my gaming channel for a little while. I might bring her back later. She pretty much just sits there or sleeps until I bring out the treats for certain gaming situations. Hehehe.

Honestly, I think that a background is much better.

Maybe, but it still takes up a portion of the screen. I just look at it as a possibility of reducing the cam footprint.

Hahaha she's cute :P

1) Buy curtain rail
2) Buy cheap bright green cloth
3) Hang cloth from rail
4) ???
5) Profit
There's no real need for an expensive green screen if you have it lit properly. It's nice to do something well, but there's such a thing as trying to overdo it.[DOUBLEPOST=1371877759,1371877590][/DOUBLEPOST]After re-reading your post, get a rail like you would use for a punching bag and extend the rail out from that so you can mount it on a wall next to you.
