Got my custom thumbnails back...

So, as some of you know, my AdSense account was disabled a while back, thus ending my YouTube partnership.

From my understanding, normally you can only use custom thumbnails if you're partnered, therefore I lost my custom thumbnails when my AdSense acoount was disabled.

But while uploading today, I noticed that the custom thumbnail was back (and it works)! I find this extra odd because in my "Channel settings" it still says that custom thumbnails are disabled. (With the whole "See Account Status above for copyright and Content ID notices that may have disabled this feature." next to it)

Anyone experienced anything like this?
 
Can't say i've experienced it lol it seems very odd but I wouldn't go complaining cause it's a good thing ;) haha nah i know your not just messing :D ! glad you get the thumbnails though :)

Yeah, just hope that it stays :D Just looked around my account and saw that I also got the "Associated website" back for some reason :P
 
ive got custom thumbnails but havent got a partnership i havent even got an adsense account anymore
 
I have Monetization enabled and have access to Custom Thumbnails, all you have to do is Verify your Phone number!
 
That's pretty cool that Youtube's doing this! It may be for a limited time, or it may last for a long time. Enjoy it while it lasts! :)
 
Just noticed that on my YouTube dashboard there is an option to "Join the YouTube Partner Program" and if I click "Sign up", I get the "Enable Your Account for Monetization" window with all of the Terms, Conditions and Policies... I'm very curious to find out what will happen if I do, but I don't dare :P This might just be what takes away my custom thumbnails again :P
