Gorilla advertising tactics

I just wanted to find out if anyone here has had success or has any good ideas for some gorilla style ways to promote YouTube channels to gain subscribers ?

Currently I've been stamping my channel link onto wooden pegs that I have secretly been pegging in people on trains, buses in the street. I also leave a lot of them around in public just pegged onto things so people come across them.

I was thinking about moving onto something a bit bigger that more people will notice though. My current idea is to create custom stickers made around advertisements that are posted on underground tube trains. I was going to edit some form of stickers to fit in with and around the advert so no one would notice it at a glance but if you where to actually read and pay attention to the advert you would notice. Maybe just small subtle jokes inserted into them.

Any ideas ?

I have T-Shirts and hats that I giveaway, Your subscribers get stuff and you get advertising

Yeah that's all good, but I'm looking at ways to draw people's attention to your channel and basically drive traffic there. Like reaching audiences you can't currently reach to get them to see your content

Well when people are walking around with T-Shirts and Hats that read Publicsealion and youtube.com/publicsealion. I'm sure that garners some attention from others

I went into a computer store and put my youtube homepage up on every screen! was it a bit extreme? yes! but you could always try that

Yeah that's a good idea, I used to go into the apple store and put all the computers onto meat spin

And I have gone onto my channel before and they turn it over if I leave it because its too rude :(

Am I the only one that thinks youtube tshirts are rather cringey??

I would be more worried about them actually damaging the image I would want to out out more then anything

But then again if the youtuber is a a fashion designer and has videos around that topic it would work quite well

Naaah, I mean just a plain tshirt with some text on it. with a link. I cannot understand why a person would actually wear their favorite youtubers tshirt in that circumstance :P

Yeah I personally wouldn't, I do have a total biscuit fan boys must die tshirt but the effort and art put into it is really impressive, I can't see the lure of an obvious marketing ploy though.
