What are some good, cheap screen recording softwares? Ones that work really well. I'm willing to pay if need be, and I'm not talking strictly gaming. Thanks in advance!!!

For a PC you can't go wrong with Fraps. It's like the holy grail to most screen recorder folk.

For a Mac, Screenflow is the balls. Edits, records, face cam, sound, all on seperate tracks, it's great

if you want free, ezvid works. it records in 720p and you can do facecam for commentaries. works pretty well, free download and not a bad upload speed

if you want anything else, go with fraps

Im using Bandicam and it works wonderful you just have to pay for it because on the free version you will have their webpage on every video you record it Fraps is also awesome if you wanna pay for it Hope i helped

If you want a free version, Hypercam or Bandicam (in my opinion)

I use fraps - the footage takes up a lot of space, but the quality in the end is totally worth it! You can get Bandicam for free, but it's only a demo, so the watermark will be on all your videos.

Switched from FRAPS to Bandicam and I've been really happy with it. Works very nicely for recording through either directx or a screen region.
File sizes are a lot more manageable too.
