Good but Cheap Mics/Headsets

I've Got It
Does any have any suggestions for good mics/headphones that produce very good audio quality, but are also cheap (around £40) I am from the UK if that helps :)

I use a Rode NT1-A condenser as my main microphone which was about $200....BUT i just recently bought a Blue Snowball mic as a backup which was $50 and it almost sounds just as good. Its a very good starter mic. Only reason i have the condenser mic is because i bought it years ago.

I'll echo the Sennheiser comment. I buy exclusively Sennheiser headphones and headsets now, and have for a decade because they're awesome.

Have your ears replaced, they're faulty.

Check amazon for SteelSeries Siberia V2. I had that headset for 3-5 yrs right after it came out. Could throw it down on your desk, rip the cables out of the input, play incredibly loud, spill s**t over it. It's amazing and I praised that headset for every day. When I got a new headset (Razer Carcharias) I noticed that the sound wasn't really that different. Not sure about the mic quality thou, never tested that properly.
Either way, I think it's a very underestimated headset which can easily be compared with the likes of Astro 40 and Razer's ones. Just waaaay cheaper. Astro's at 150-250$.

Found one at amazon for 51£. amazon.com/SteelSeries-Siberia-Full-Size-Gaming-Headset/dp/B002Q8IHDQ
And you won't get "very good audio quality" for somethings that's very cheap. I've had a good couple of headsets, and it all comes down to what you're going to listen to. The news and Jenna Marbles - or Au5 and footsteps on a FFA bf/cod/tf2 match.

The microphones on headsets are never any good to record with tbf. You'll hear a distinct difference between headset mic and a normal mic. I suggest getting a Blue Yeti :)
