Glasses Glare/Reflection

I just started a new YouTube channel and I wanted to make a talking to the camera type video. So I filmed and I was really happy with it except for the fact that the lights kept being reflected on my glasses. I film in a basement and there isn't much natrual light. So for lighting I made my own homemade soft box out of a lamp with a white light bulb. And for additional lighting a used a small desk lamp. Anyways, given the situation do you guys have any tips so glare/reflection won't appear on my glasses?

Well the lights are facing you and you're filming yourself so yeah the lights will reflect obviously unless you film from a different angle but then the lightning won't be enough. My suggestion is do you actually need to wear glasses while filming the video? I assume maybe if you're reading off of the script or something but its just while you film the video.

Well, do you really need to wear glasses? My suggestion is to just take them off, but that's only if your vision isn't heavily impaired.

I have this issue also, but have minimized it. I have the anti-glare on my glasses, making the light reflect off as a subtle green and not shiny white. Also I make sure to put my lights at a bit of an angle (I have multiple softboxes). In your situation you can try putting the light at an arc kind of, always look in the camera and have the light just a bit above the camera, never at the same angle as it. No matter what there will always be some type of glare unless you have lights everywhere (ie: studio).

You could try lighting from the sides and have a bounce card where the light would normally be placed, might be worth a try. If the walls are white you might not even need a bounce card.
