getting that HD crisp voice rec through a mic?

Posting Mad!
Hey guys well I noticed some youtubers have realllly crisp sounding mics? or is this the sound card? I currently have a cheap 15 dollar mic from amazon to get me started, but I think I want to invest in a blu snowball mic. Not sure if that mic will get me a really nice crisp sounding HD recording.

as we all know, there is a huge difference in video grasping when someone has that smooth HD crisp sounding voice recording

now is this the sound card? or would a blue mic be enough?

I just got the blue snowball mic today for my birthday and it is worth every penny. It is a huge step up from my turtlebeach earforce x12 which cost just as much as the snowball. Get it, you won't regret it. Plus it's on sale for $50 right now :D

Yah, the mic is going to make a huge difference. I bought a Rode Videomicro just to see how much of a difference it would make compared to the on board audio. I do video work professionally, and to be honest, I didn't expect much out of a $60 mic, but I was pretty impressed at the difference. It's not quite at the level of the rode video mic pro (I have no experience with the blue snowball, so I can't speak to that) but it's a definitive upgrade in sound quality compared to on board mics, and I would imagine also compared to a $15 mic. My video review goes over it a bit , hope it helps!

thanks guys!! so you dont need a sound card to get that nice HD sound? i just feel like my videos would be more captivating with a higher quality recording lol.

for the snowball blu, does it sound really crisp and HD sounding like? or would you happen to have a sample video you have that I can look at on YT? :) thanks so much!

cool thanks :D I might just give the snowball a try just hope it proveds a really crisp HD sound. If anyone know, please add some feedback :D

The mic I have has a warm tone to it. Very good for music recording.

Crisp? Just grab any USB mic, those things sound crispy as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu**. Just put a pop filter over it, and you're ready to go.

You can look up on youtube "blue snowball mic test" and it'll come up with a bunch of sample recordings that people have done.
