Getting noticed.

GeezerGaming

We are the league of Extraordinary Geezers!
We've only been on YouTube for like 1 month now (we know its not a long time, but still haha :)) & we've done relatively well, but what strategies could we employ to help us promote & grow our channel?

We're on social networking sites, forums, being put in montages & doing a range of other things to highlight our channel. But, we still want/need more views! :(.

So if you can help us out by giving us tips, that'd be great!

Try and make a video that makes people think 'hm, my friend would like this!' and they will spread it round, getting people to watch. There is the science behind viral videos and it's all about how well someone can relate the video information to someone else who might enjoy it. :)

So we have to make a video that's not just suitable for like one specific target audience, but for others?
It is hard though like trying to make something that people will share with their friends because it's difficult to find certain people that like our content in the first place!

Thanks for your help though!

well not for everyone I suppose, but something that people will go crazy about :P

How to get noticed: work, work, work, work, and then....WORK. It takes time and a whole lot of work if you want a successful channel. The magic channel fairy isn't going to come sprinkle unicorn dust on your channel, you just have to get it done.

Hardly. I've had 1 collab in my 7+ years on this site and I didn't gain a single sub. I had like 200 subs and the guy had 3000. Nobody will actually collab so it seems, it's all "Sure!" and then nobody follows through.

I've done collabs - and I get offers quite frequently. I've followed through with 2 collabs and got 100+ subs from it over a short period. My friend was lucky enough to do a collab with someone with over 10,000 subs and he got great results from that.

Collabs are great.
