Getting a PHONE call while Recording?

I think the issue isn't editing. If the phone rings whilst your in the middle of commentary + gameplay you can't cut that commentary out man it would be weird and since his doing let's plays/playthrough he has to be talking through out the whole video otherwise he would have to skip ahead of the gameplay (which is an option) or he would have to record over the commentary. Better way would be to play it off if the phone rings or just have it on silent so you don't have to record the commentary again. For me I cut it out regardless usually but if am in the middle of a fight or anything dramatic on the game and my phone rings I can play that off for comedic purposes of the video.

Doesn't really matter when I get a phone call. If I decide Im recording before hand I'll turn my phone on silent or do not disturb. But if I decided on the spot to do some recording and I get a phone call mid sesh I'll either pause, asnwer and edit it out after or if its an un-pausable situation then I simply don't answer no big deal .

CAN'T AGREE MORE. ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! Phone call while Lets play and commentary is really annoying. However I managed to recover through recording again lol

I've had my wife call during a recording session, and i've turned it into a thing with the video lol. I didnt put her on blast or anything, it was just funny to see her face when i showed her the video that "she was in" lol

OK I was recording my gaming video that suddenly I got the call from my sister. My whole recording was damaged. So I had to rerecord my video.
Has this ever happened to you?

Cut the phone ringer off or the phone off completely just got to do it that way to be involved in the stream. I know some streamers will answer a call but not me I'm all in now.

I been drinking. So I will try to say this as best I can. Sometimes I feel like people on this forum blow minor issues into big problems. Your phone rang while you were recording. I don't see the issue here. s**t my phone is ringing let me turn that off works just fine. I stutter and forget what I am saying all the time. Most the time I am half lit when I turn on my camera anyway. I know a lot of people try to accomplish the perfect video. But me personally I love the human factor. Things go wrong in videos. Any random things can happen while you are recording. Are you able to laugh at it and have fun? I know people do a lot of things different from my style of videos. I just roll with the punches in all my videos. "um" "ah" "What the hell was I just saying?" The damn phone ringing! These are all human things. Don't take it so seriously bro!
