Getting a Mac, that docent cost an arm and a leg

I'm actually a PC fan, in my spare time I game on a pc, surf the web on a PC and so forth but alas I edit my videos in Final Cut and the MacPro I'm using right now is the family computer. OVERFLOWING with useless programs, background rubbish and all sorts than mac it a pain in the a** to edit.

Anyone know any way of getting a Imac which is not gonna cost me a fortune. I just want an editing machine and Apple are dicks with there pricing.

unless you find on in a deep dark alley then no real way that I see unless you buy a really old version of a imac

Don't get a mac, just don't buy one dude. If your looking for a seperate machine to edit then I suggest just getting a editing laptop/PC.

I like editing on my mac - I have a PC and MBA and edit on both. PC for my gaming videos and MBA for my Jailbreak videos...I probably need to find better editing software for my PC, but right now I enjoy editing on my mac more than PC...

Oh right...the question. I bought my MBA off eBay. It was about $300 off retail price and 1 month old. I think I got lucky, but there are deals to be had on eBay

If I could avoid Mac I would but I use final cut to edit, always have and am good with it. Suppose I could buy Sony Vegas and try using that....but I'm a creature of habit[DOUBLEPOST=1369263165,1369262737][/DOUBLEPOST]Trying to avoid laptops if possible. Always preferred editing on bigger machines for some reason. Good to know I'm not the only one using the two great rivals :P

you could always make a hachintosh... or you can go onto amazon. They have used ones on there as low as £500 :)

I dont suggest getting a Mac, but you do have a few options.
1. Get a refurbished mac.
2. Build a Hackintosh, they're much better than macs and there are plenty tutorials on YouTube.
